Booking Terms & Conditions and Client Agreement

Welcome to Reiki & Sound Healing Ireland. By booking a session via our website (www.reikiandsoundhealing.com), you are entering into a legally binding agreement governed by Irish and European Union law. This document outlines the rights and responsibilities of both the client and the practitioner in relation to all Reiki, sound healing, coaching, and other holistic services provided either in person or online.

By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted the following Terms and Conditions in full.

 

1. Nature of Services

  • Reiki & Sound Healing Ireland provides non-clinical, holistic wellness services intended to complement personal wellbeing and emotional balance.

  • These services do not replace medical treatment, diagnosis, or professional psychological care.

  • The services provided are considered complementary therapies under Irish legislation, including the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005 and relevant provisions of the **EU Directive on Patients’ Rights in Cross-Border Healthcare (Directive 2011/24/EU)*.

 

If you have a diagnosed physical or mental health condition, you are encouraged to consult a licensed medical practitioner before booking.

 

2. Booking and Confirmation

  • All appointments must be scheduled in advance through our online booking platform.

  • A booking is considered confirmed only after full payment is received and a confirmation email is issued.

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring their email and contact details are correct to receive session links (e.g., Zoom) and relevant updates.

 

3. Informed Consent

  • Prior to any session, clients must provide accurate information about their health history, medications, or other ongoing treatments that may impact the session’s safety.

  • Clients will be required to give informed consent before commencing a session. This consent may be captured electronically or in writing and includes an understanding of:

    • The complementary nature of the service

    • The potential risks and benefits

    • Voluntary participation

 

4. Client Responsibilities

  • Clients must take personal responsibility for their participation, actions, and outcomes following any session.

  • Results from holistic or coaching services vary depending on individual circumstances and no specific outcome can be guaranteed.

  • The practitioner reserves the right to decline or discontinue a session if the client presents information that indicates it would not be safe or ethical to proceed.

 

5. Payment Terms

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking, processed securely through our online platform.

  • Receipts can be provided upon request for tax or reimbursement purposes.

 

6. Cancellation, Rescheduling & No-Shows

 

To ensure fairness and respect for both the client’s and practitioner’s time:

  • Cancellations made with more than 24 hours’ notice are eligible for a full refund or free rescheduling.

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

  • Failure to attend (no-show) without any notice will be charged 100% of the session fee.

  • In the event of a genuine emergency, the practitioner may, at their sole discretion, waive fees or offer alternative arrangements.

These terms are aligned with the Consumer Rights Act 2022 (Ireland) and EU consumer protection frameworks under Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights.

 

7. Complaints & Disputes

We are committed to resolving all issues professionally and ethically.

  • Any complaint should be submitted in writing within 30 days of the session to:

  • Reiki & Sound Healing Ireland will acknowledge complaints within 7 business days and aim to provide a resolution within 30 days.

  • If a dispute arises that cannot be resolved amicably, either party may seek resolution through the Small Claims Court (Ireland) or an alternative ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) body such as the CCPC or Ombudsman for Complaints.

 

8. Confidentiality & Data Protection

  • All personal, health, and session information is treated as strictly confidential in compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

  • Your data will never be shared with third parties unless:

    • Required by law (e.g. safeguarding risk or court order)

    • You give express written permission

Clients may request a copy of their stored personal data at any time and have the right to request corrections or deletion, as outlined by the Data Protection Commission (Ireland).

 

9. Limitation of Liability

  • Reiki & Sound Healing Ireland will not be held liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from the use of services or decisions made based on session content.

  • By engaging in a session, clients accept full responsibility for their choices, emotional and physical wellbeing, and post-session actions.

  • The practitioner disclaims any liability for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

This clause is consistent with the Liability for Defective Products Act 1991 and Contract Law principles under Irish Common Law.

 

10. Force Majeure

We are not liable for cancellations or rescheduling caused by events outside our control, including illness, emergencies, natural disasters, or technical failures. Clients will be offered rescheduling or a refund where appropriate.

 

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

If operating within the EU, clients retain rights under Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 (Rome I) and Directive 93/13/EEC on Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts.

 

12. Booking Declaration

"I confirm that I have read, understood, and agreed to the Booking Terms and Conditions of Reiki & Sound Healing Ireland. I acknowledge that these services are complementary in nature and not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment. I agree to the cancellation, payment, confidentiality, and legal terms outlined above."
